A little about the ASO

Founded in 2000, The Asperger’s Society of Ontario (ASO) is the only non-profit organization in Ontario solely devoted to serving the Asperger community. We offer direct support to individuals with Asperger Syndrome (AS), their families and caregivers, and provide information and resources related to Asperger Syndrome to the public in an effort to improve public and professional awareness and acceptance of the unique challenges, strengths and needs of individuals with AS and their families. We offer a free ActionLine to help anyone with a question, concern or need relating to Asperger Syndrome, a website populated with service and informational resources specific to AS, and active social media sites where we share news and information about Asperger Syndrome. We also host social groups for adults with Asperger Syndrome and Parent and Caregiver Support Groups across the province. All of our services are offered free of charge. We are an extremely efficient charity, void of most operating and overhead costs and with very minimal expenses. We aim to direct the majority of our funds to where it’s most needed – serving people affected by Asperger Syndrome and their families
