Website - Respite Services

Concept:

respiteservices.com is a secure network for families that need respite and access to services. This network is managed by Service Coordination located in Ottawa which is an agency funded by the Ministry of Community and Social Services and the Ministry of Children and Youth Services. The Worker Bank provides workers to families who are in need of respite and / or developmental programming for their child with a physical or developmental disability or an adult with a developmental disability. To access the Worker Bank, families must be receiving funding from one of the following programs: Special Services at Home (SSAH); Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities (ACSD); Passport. The Worker Bank helps to find a match between the family and the worker. The worker is an independent contractor who is employed by and paid by the family.
