All people are welcome on this page regardless of their backgrounds or beliefs. And you are welcome here if your kid is low functioning, high functioning, Aspergers, etc. But always remember the place where I am coming from. Severe, low functioning non-verbal autism. Just remember this. I have an 8 year old son whose receptive & expressive language are at an 18 month old level and they have been for years. So that's the autism that I am writing about.

Get to know me:

The pseudonymous papa who operates this no-holds-barred blog is a 43-year-old father to a 9-year-old son, “Kyle” with severe autism. He launched the blog last April as a place to rant about his parenting experiences free from possible backlash on Facebook. His posts range from the humorous (Autism & Potty Training : A Step-by-Step Guide to What Has Worked For Us : Sorta) to the pointed aside (But He Was So Good The Last Time You Were Here): explains his reasons for declining certain party invitations) to the poignant (the inspiring “A Letter to Parents of Low-Functioning Kids w/Autism”, “You Did Nothing Wrong).
