CHILDREN SOCIAL SKILLS
Toronto (approx. 8 - 14 years)

The social skills group is a joint venture between the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), Kerry’s Place Autism Services and the Aspergers Society of Ontario.  It provides a social interaction group for children ages 8 – 14 with a concurrent parent support and education group.  These groups are run on Wednesdays, with two groups of 8 – 10 children attending at two time slots (4:30 – 5:45 and 6:15 – 7:30).  This year our fall group will run for 10 weeks and 10 weeks during the winter/spring.  The fall group will start on Oct 7 09 and the winter group on Feb 3, 2010.  It is highly recommended that children attend both 10 week sessions in order to maximize and consolidate skill development, although new participants will be added for the winter/spring group to fill spots for those not continuing.  The cost for each 10 group session is $500.  All payments should be made payable to Kerry’s Place Autism Services and will be collected two weeks prior to the start of the group.
